Stumbled upon this bit of news late last night. It appears that author Stephen King and music artist John Mellencamp have been collaborating (for 12 years, no less) on a Southern Gothic musical, "Ghost Brothers of Darkland County." Who knew? It opened at the Alliance Theatre in Atlanta on April 11th and runs through May 13. Reviews have been mixed, but the idea is intriguing. How can you go wrong with a King storyline that includes death, the supernatural, haunting moments, and lots of solid original music by Mellencamp? Here's a link to the L.A. Times review of the show: http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/culturemonster/2012/04/stephen-king-john-mellencamp.html
It'll be interesting to see where "Ghost Brothers" goes from here.
